Introducing DenTyme: Part 2 Data-driven analysis to help understand your performance

Curious about the benefits of the new, revolutionary digital application DenTyme? This series of blog posts will introduce you to the Dolphin Development Group’s biggest endeavour yet–what the app offers, how it works, and why it will provide you with the tools to change your dental practice for the better.

In our previous post we discussed how DenTyme helps cut down on business costs by streamlining consultant services in an easy-to-use and cost effective way. This month, we want to discuss the strong, data-driven analysis the app provides.

General business advice is beneficial, but what you likely trust the most are the hard numbers–actual metrics that reflect the performance of your staff. Existing dental practice management applications and systems collect data that will report on the overall performance of a dental practice, but do not provide reports on an individual’s performance as it pertains to their day-to-day obstacles and duties and that is what sets DenTyme apart. It offers all of this right at the tip of your fingers.

One of the most stand-out features of the app is its ability to track the relationship between time management issues and how it negatively affects revenue and standards of care on a professional level. Users have the ability to input their procedure times and compare them to the scheduled or recommended procedure time. If the provider takes too long to perform the service, you are losing revenue because of lost time. In contrast, if the procedure time is too short, it may be a sign that the procedure is being rushed and quality may be lacking.

Questionnaires are another big aspect of the app. Your staff can fill out questionnaires relating to procedures, office environment, and more so you can get a better idea of how things are operating and how staff are feeling. Daily reports are generated from this inputted data and the app can identify where processes can be improved, recommend courses and other resources, and overall improvement tips.

Not only are there staff questionnaires, but the Patient Portal is a means for you to collect data from clients as well–another very important form of feedback. The Patient Portal helps generate and retain clients and also serves as damage control for things that are foreseeable. Through a simple questionnaire, patients can input what they feel about the quality of service, what they think should be improved, and more.

With these data-driven features and tools not only will you get a more accurate view of your staff’s productivity and work habits, but you’ll also have a clear idea of how to move forward and what changes or adjustments need to be made to correct the identified issues. If you require assistance, the app also provides you with the ability to communicate directly with a dental consultant who can provide further feedback and guidance.

In the next blog post, we’ll discuss DenTyme’s clean and easy design that makes it user-friendly and simple to use.
