Introducing DenTyme: Part 3 Informative resources and giving back to community
Curious about the benefits of the new, revolutionary digital application DenTyme? This series of blog posts will introduce you to the Dolphin Development Group’s biggest endeavour yet–what the app offers, how it works, and why it will provide you with the tools to change your dental practice for the better.

In our previous post we discussed Dentyme’s powerful analytical tools that help measure your team’s efficiency and quality of work. Along with this, DenTyme is also an incredibly rich resource for dental information and news.
Our founder Karen Ergus has carefully curated a collection of articles, studies and videos to guide you and keep you on top of the latest findings and trends in the dental professional sphere. This mix of empirical documents, audio-visual resources, and easy-to-read articles gives you another means to educate yourself about the field, what is going on in the world of dentistry, and give you insight on methods or techniques that you may want to adopt into your own practice. These resources are updated regularly, so you can rest assured the information will always be current and relevant.
Providing helpful resources and strong analytical tools to dental professionals to help them bring their businesses to the next level is of course our main goal with the development of DenTyme, but another important drive for creating the app, and establishing Dolphin Development Group as a whole, is community involvement. Our community involvement and charity work is done through The Canadian Dental Charity Foundation, a non-profit established by our founder Karen Ergus. Throughout her career, Ergus has regularly participated in fundraisers and provided dental care free-of-cost to Indigenous communities in northern Canada, low-income families in Ontario, and other underprivileged groups. Setting up a foundation of her own was a natural progression to expanding her philanthropic endeavours.
The Canadian Dental Charity Foundation was founded with four clear goals:
to promote health by providing pro bono dental and oral care to remote and underserved areas, including first nations reserves and other disadvantaged groups.
to advance education by providing publicly available scholarships, bursaries, and other forms of financial assistance to students entering their first term of a post-secondary program in oral health in Canada.
to advance education by providing instructional seminars on subjects related to dental and oral health education to the public at large, but with a focus on teens, adolescents and children.
to receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time to qualified donees
To support our philanthropic efforts outlined above–to make a difference in the lives of people with limited or no access to dental care and to support young, up and coming dental professionals–a portion of the proceeds from DenTyme subscriptions goes to the foundation and directly supports these communities.
